snapshots in my upgraded armor
So I decided to put on the armor and see how good the new ab plate
modification I did turned out, and it sure does look pretty good if you
ask me. I'm really happy with the results. I was a little bit nervous
with the thought of cutting up my ab plate, as I thought I would ruin it
and then be forced to buy a new one. But, it came out looking really
good. Check out the photos
for yourself.

ab plate modification complete
Finally got around to finishing up my ab plate modification, so I
could get my MEPD status. Plus, it's much more accurate than the
original piece that was there, as sandtroopers never had ab plates with
buttons. Check out the pictures
here.

st. patrick's day parade in naperville, il
Members of the Midwest Garrison and Rebel Legion teamed up to march
in Naperville's annual St. Patrick's Day parade on March 17th. It was a
cold and windy day with temperatures in the low 40s, but that didn't
stop the Empire and Rebels from marching in front of hundreds of parade
onlookers. With more than eighty total parade entries this year, most
would have to admit that we stole the show. You could hear people
screaming in the crowd, "Look, there's Darth Vader and his stormtroopers!"
I even heard someone ask, "Why are there Star Wars characters in a St.
Patrick's Day parade?" We all had a great time and are looking forward
to next year's parade. You can read the full mission report with over
120 photos at

"allegiance" book release at borders
I've been to many different events such as parades, birthday
parties, toy shows and conventions, but I never participated in a book
release before. This was hopefully going to be a new and good experience
for me, especially knowing that this would possibly be a big event
because of the book and its author. I wasn't expecting to see a huge
turnout for it since the author would not be present, but I was
expecting to see a good handful of Star Wars readers. It would be a
successful mission for us, right? Read the full mission report at
Sandtroopers.com.
